What we collect

TraceCapture is a tool for warehouse operators. When you use the iOS app or this website, we may collect: the email address you submit through the contact form, the operator name you set in the app, and the inventory data you choose to upload to your backend.

Photos, voice notes, GPS, and ML-derived metadata captured in the field are stored on your device first. They are uploaded only when you point the app at a backend you control (your own server, or a hosted plan from us).

Permissions the app uses

The app requests these iOS permissions only when you use the related feature, and only to make that feature work:

• Camera — scanning codes, capturing photos, AR navigation.
• NFC — reading and writing tags.
• Photo library — attaching existing photos to items and orders.
• Microphone & speech — voice dictation in text fields.
• Location — stamping captured items with GPS when available.

None of this is used for advertising or tracking. We do not use third-party SDKs that profile you across apps.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't analyze your inventory to train models we sell to anyone else. On-device ML stays on the device.

Hosting

This website is served from Cloudflare Pages. Contact-form submissions are processed by a Cloudflare Pages Function and forwarded to our internal email via Resend. No third-party analytics or trackers run on this site.

Hosted backend plans (when used) run on AWS us-east-1 by default. EU or carrier-specific hosting is available for enterprise contracts.

Your data, your export

At any time you can export every order, item, audit log row, and photo URL as XLSX or PDF directly from the iOS app. If you stop using TraceCapture, you keep your data.

Data retention & deletion

Offline data lives on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Data synced to a backend you control is retained under your own policy. Contact-form submissions are kept only as long as needed to answer you, then deleted. To request deletion of anything you’ve sent us, email [email protected].

Children

TraceCapture is a workplace tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted in the app or by email where appropriate.
