Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-06-05

These Terms govern your use of the TraceCapture iPhone app and this website (the “Service”). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you’re accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you’re authorized to do so.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your internal business purposes, subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to this app. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or sublicense the app except as that EULA or applicable law allows.

Your content and data

You own the inventory data, photos, notes, and audit records you create. You’re responsible for having the right to capture and store them, and for backing them up — including exporting a ZIP before switching between offline and server modes. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access systems or data you’re not authorized to reach. If you run your own backend, you’re responsible for securing it and the API keys you issue.

Availability & changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features over time. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes. Beta or pilot features may change or be removed without notice.

Warranty & liability

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Positioning accuracy depends on your environment, lighting, and marker placement, and is not guaranteed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits, or business arising from your use of the Service.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the EULA and may enforce it against you.
